Passion for Travel Since Day One

Heartland Travel Adventures began 24 years ago as the dream of Dan and Linda Peterson, a couple from rural Burdick, Kansas, who had a deep love for travel and sharing unforgettable experiences with others. Over the years, they built a close-knit community of travelers, creating journeys filled with laughter, learning, and lasting friendships.

In 2022, Lynley Remy and her son, Tye, embraced the opportunity to continue that legacy, purchasing the business and launching their first full season of trips in 2023. Travel has always been woven into their lives—together, they have road-tripped across the country, from the sun-soaked highways of California to the historic streets of Baltimore, from the moss-draped charm of Savannah to the breathtaking vistas of the American Southwest. With countless miles behind them and a passion for the open road, they bring firsthand knowledge, experience, and an adventurer’s spirit to every journey they plan.

We are committed to keeping our travel groups small—never more than 35 guests—so that every traveler can enjoy a warm, personal, and enriching experience. Whether it's sharing laughter on the road, making new friendships, or exploring the rich history and charm of a new place, we strive to make each journey feel like a gathering of close friends.
